You don't receive as many presents as you did then.

Could be the age factor that does kick in...It could also be the fact that all stores-big and small and pretty much anything on the market for sale has helped make Christmas a Spending Holiday rather then a religious or even family event.

And, in my opinion, although against my own beliefs, the fact that more and more people from different cultures are complaining that we are «imposing» Christmas onto them bugs the crap out of me. The new politically correct «Happy Holidays» just doesn't sound right. But then again we're in Canada, so as always we accomodate the others before ourselves.

It's pretty popular. Check out how businesses are doing; Christmas is very profitable.

Also, Christmas is probably the only time of year most churches are full.

Additionally, other winter holidays are also popular and still celebrated.

Too commercial and we are expected to be soooo politically correct we have lost the true meaning.
Shouldn't matter whether you say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays...

because big business has taken it over... by making it only a money making exercise and taking away the True Meaning of it...by litteraly forbiding the True Meaning to be spoken in public...why bother... Those who know the true meaning keep it in their hearts and celibrate in private...and with out all the commercial stuff.
