Chevy always reliable especially in the second hand market where it counts for most people. When foreign cars are rusted heaps in the junk yard that old much maligned Chevy will keep puttering along. People say Toyota or some foreign make because of resale value is high that's great if your selling your car not so great if your buying. Thus the Chevy will always be around. Despite the best efforts of automotive talking heads on TV.

Honda for the same reasons as Toyota, however Honda's tend to be a bit more driver/sport oriented where as toyotas are more cushy and don't have the same direct steering feel as a Honda.
If you care about that, get a honda. If you prefer comfort to responsiveness, get the toyota.
