I just went out with a Capricorn guy on a date last week. I was so excited about the date because I have dated Capricorns in the past great relationships. Besides they are supposed to be very compatible with Taurus girls right? It was the worse date ever they guy was almost a total jerk! What gives this is not the usual Cap guy I'm used too. I thought Capricorn and Taurus are compatible are we not?

Maybe he isn't an average Capricorn or you an average Taurus.
And,don't accept that you will be good with ANY Capricorn on this planet!!! The rest of your birth chart will tell you better ;)

possibly a cusp capricorn?
maybe he is just that way due to past relationships.....caps, take stuff pretty bad sometimes.
