So, I've been working in my office for 6 months. Our Christmas party is tomorrow. We did the whole Secret Santa thing, but some people are buying other people presents as well.

My boss and I were casual friends before working together, but have never exchanged presents. Should I get him a gift? Should I get the other couple of people in my department a gift?

Will it look bad if I don't get people at lease a little something? I don't want it to seem like I"m not a team player, but I also don't want to seem like Daddy Warbucks.

If you get one person something, you'll get everyone something. I would just do the secret santa.

But just in case someone gives YOU something and you're stuck like chuck. You should have a few spare gifts tucked away in your desk. Something minor like a candle wraped with a bow. So that way you are prepared if someone gets something for you, you can return the favor.

Stick with the secret santa gift, those other people are exchanging gifts because they have been close for a while Probably and if you get something for your boss you shouldnt have to get anything for anyone else. If there grown ups they wont think anything less about you.

The secret santa gift is enough. If boss was a friend earlier, you might get him a very small gift. You didn't exchange gifts earlier, tho, so I don't think he'll expect one from you.

It is nice to give people you work with something. Think chocolates, gourmet coffee in a mug, just a little something to show people that you care and appreciate them, sometimes a little something can make a HUGE difference.

To your boss/friend a bottle of wine maybe.I'm sure he will enjoy it!

Enjoy the spirit of giving !

If you can afford it, get them something small. After all, it is the thought that counts! If you can't afford it, don't strap yourself to buy them gifts!

You can always get them a coffee mug with candy for pretty cheap.

making plans to purchase gives you. and that i do like getting presents for individuals yet in specific circumstances hate it if i don't be attentive to what to get or hate no longer having sufficient money to get what i in my opinion % to get people.
