Parts & Labour... Is it worth it for a car with over 200,000 miles on the clock?

The actual labor time is about 5.2 hours + parts should put you on the area of $450-$650 provided a few other things are changed or re-sealed in the process. I'm sure the vehicle is paid off so chances are it's worth keeping.

they have to raise the engine before the oil pan can come down. that means disconnecting the fuel lines, engine mounts, fan and whatever else not to mention depressurizing the fuel system and everything else to work safe.
then you slowly lift the engine with a jack and a block of wood under the oil pan to where you think the pan can come down far enough to clear the front end.
then put wood blocks under your engine to shim it while you lower the jack, remove the oil pan, and replace the oil pump. then you have to put it all back together again.
it's not such a bad job just time consuming.

you should be looking at around 495 -550 for the oil pump installed alone providing nothing else is found necessary for repairs, it may be worth it depends on if you can replace it for that much around here you dont get a 4x4 for under a grand so i would say its worth it

No it's not worth it with that many miles already because you are probably looking at around $700-$1000.
