18 is the legal age to which you can change your last name and your first name if you want. Now if you were 16 and your parents got devoiced then you can choose which last name you want. When you are 18 you are an adult and you can choose what your life can be and you have the freedom to do whatever you want, except drink alchol.

I know where I live you have to be 14 with parental consent other then that you would have to be 18 because that is the age at which you can legal sign a contract.

It all depends on what state you are living in. In some states the age of consent is 16 while in most others it is 18.

I believe, you have to be 18 years of age to change your name, but it may also depend what state you live in.

You must be 18 to change your name yourself. It is a big hassle and lots of court papers not to mention if you have debit cards, open bank accounts, oh and your birth certificate, Social Security Card the list goes on and one.

18. It's also cheaper to change your name if you're getting married at the some time. We paid $20 for our marriage license, and there were spots for both of us to change our names if we wanted to.
