I'm getting a manicure today and my nails are pretty short do you think, do I'll be able to get a french manicure?
If not-do you have other ideas for colors that elegant and classy? I have trouble keeping the color on because I'm constantly washing my hands, so I tend to stick with lighter color so when it chips it doesn't look as bad.
Any suggestions/advice would be helpful!!

this ballet slippers you mentioned, is this an OPI color?
Also what are your other favorite colors?? there are just so many I can never decide:) hehe

Yes, a good manicurist can always fake a french manicure, If not, go with a nice light pink. Your manicurist can always recommend something nice. I have nails just like yours, I always go nice and light. I wear a color called ballet slippers.

Mine are pretty short myself but I guess I do my own french manicures at home! I guess all you really need is a few pieces of tape and white or semi white to put on the tips of your nails! Or since your going to the professionals I would think that you'll be fine to get a manicure because I had short nails and well they made it work! I used a white and then put some glittery polish on top.

If you can't get a french, i know the ballet slippers color that an earlier user mentioned, its nice, do that one

Since you have short nails you should get tips. They just add a white end to your naturall nails and paint your natural nails a pinkis color. It looks great and its better than getting fake nails. Or you couldd get jell nails. Talk to the professionals. Best of luck.

Try a nude/beige colour. It's always in fashion and leaves hands looking well groomed and elegant
