No, unless there's no lid. That's scary when you think about all the junk that flies out of there when you flush.

sometimes yes. It is because I am paranoid of ghosts and monsters, esp. when in the bathroom for some reason. If I flush the toilet then I can't hear what's going on around me. For all I know the ghost could be coming after me, but the toilet prevents me from hearing it.

Ever see that show “Highway to Heaven” with Michael Landon? There was an episode where there was a snake in this lady’s toilet. That traumatized me as a little kid seeing that.
