I need to write a report in which I am supposed to draw up a two fold classification of the factors which comprise the company's business environment. I am not sure what "two-fold" means.

It probably means that you need to classify the factors in 2 ways

The term "two-fold" classification is used in many academic disciplines covering diverse fields such as psychology, biology, linguistics and many, many others. A company could have a two-fold classification system for its products, for instance aimed at children they could be described as "yummy", at adults they would be described as "pleasant". On the other hand they could operate as wholesalers and as retailers, (a two-fold role). My tip would be to contact the person requiring the report and ask them what is meant by the term. Or should you have listened more closely in class? How are your co-pupils interpreting this requirement.

two fold: one positive, one negative, both opposite.
You have to show positive and negative aspects in both.
In the end positive aspects in positive fold and negative aspects in negative fold will be positive.
And negative aspects in positive fold and positive aspects in negative fold will be negative.
Cheers
