I have a cousin and I want to name a future daughter after her. her name is Ka'Marie but I want to name the child Kay Marie or Kiara Marie. Is this way too similar or not? If so , what is a better name that still is a name that could be used to name the child after my cousin.

If you are naming your daughter after your cousin, then you could name her the exact same name if you wanted. It really doesn't matter. Whatever you like best is what you should go with, if you were thinking you didn't want to name her after anyone, or similar to anyone, then it would matter, but in this case it doesn't

what are the age differences. If close you may want some difference in the name. if not close in age and your naming after the cousin, it should be the same name. However I like Kiara Marie. Find a nick name you love. Its all good your having a bay!

What would be the problem with the names being similar if you are naming the child after her? I personally like Kiara Marie the best of those choices.

Your cousin should look at your naming a child after her as a honor. I believe you should name her Kay Marie. Good luck with your new child.
