I think life is about people, some of whom see life as a race, some who see life as a journey, and some who see life in various other ways. If you see life as a journey then I wish you good luck on your quest. If you see life as a race I wish you the best. Our task in this life is to run our race or embark on our journey. It is not our job as runners to judge the questers and it is not our job as questers to judge the runners.

I agree, to a point. I think it can actually be both, it depends on your perception of things. While I agree that life is a journey, the SPEED of how one's journey goes can be a race. That and the fact that some parts of your life go faster than others (meaning either chronologically or due to too many commitments/work/having kids/watching kids grow up, etc.) can also affect it along with how you view life in general. Some do see it as a "rat race". Some can see it, like the Matrix in a symbolic/metaphoric kind of way.

I agree. I still can't decide what I will major in college because I don't know what I want to do. I want to just help people for a living. However, the world isn't as simple as that. There is always the thing about money. In fact, I sometimes think of being a drifter...

I definitely agree. Life is a journey and everyone should live it to the fullest. No one should rush on anything but just enjoy the ride.

Oh exactly, I agree positively. I live in a smaller city, so I am used to a slower life style. I have to add, after reading all of the answers, I noticed a few of them included about money, I wasn't even thinking of this answer to your question, I guess some are all about it.

Perfection is not a place you arrive, but a road you travel.
