take out the batteries

Have you tried putting a pin in the small hole at the bottom. Phone the tomtom help line

Simply press the Off button.

take the batteries out for a while then replace and do a reset

Have you tried letting it run down on power, then recharging it, i think it a bit like rebooting your computer, sorry that's all i know, hope it works
