I don't mean, do you love your successes in life, but do you love who you are as an individual?

I'm not talking about self-satisfaction, I don't want to know what you do in your own time...please. I'm asking if you love yourself as a person.

Yes, I do love myself. I think that has to do with the fact that I love my family, and I have many of their qualities. Not that I'm a clone of my family by any means, but that's part of it. People like me, and that helps. It's nice to see a smiling face looking back at one's self because that makes me like me more. I need to improve in some areas, but I still love myself. I don't see loving one's self as a selfish thing. I think it's easier to care about other people when one loves one's self. Joan Didion wrote an excellent essay about this very topic. It's called "On Self Respect."

Yes I love myself as an individual. Since I have learnt other virtues and studied philosophy, I feel like I'm not a bad person. You have meet worse people to believe that you're good and harmless! The only painful thing about loving myself is when I do "bad" stuff to people, which hurts my conscience. I dont believe it, but apparently, I'm good! and love-able! nice q, btw.

Most of the time...I would never hate anyone but, myself..thats another story..kind of like a love/hate relationship. The traits that I hate are being such a perfectionist, that part ruins alot of my life but I've been trying to overcome that and better myself as a person.

People should love themselves, not in a cocky manner, but in a sense of being a great person.

Yep! I try to live by the Word of God even though I'm not a fanatic. Follow the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule. Your future will stay in tact with your decison-making ability!

I love being who I am, if that's what you mean.
Like everyone else, I have my good and bad points.
I accept and embrace who I am.
If there is something that displeases me, I change it.

A day spent judging another is a painful day.
A day spent judging yourself is a painful day.

You will find your purpose and your strength when you see that you are in a relationship with all other living things; and that you are powerful, purposeful, and peaceful when you serve in some capacity.

Depends on the day... I love who I am as a being, but my outward effects my inward. Even though the world sees someone that's attractive, I myself, don't always feel that way. I've got mother issues. She wanted me to be perfect. If that's not setting me up for failure, I don't know what is.

Yes, I have to say I do! I pride myself on being who I am, I strive to always do the right thing, it may not be what I WANT to do, but rather what I SHOULD do.
I know that I can face myself in the mirror, and I can rest easy at nite!

I love myself, but not with the codependent type of love most people think of when "love" is mentionsed.
Mine is more of an acceptance of who I am and where I am... it doesn't mean that I am happy with my life, though.

I am learning to love me and not need everyones approval. It's hard because for a long time I was a people pleaser.
