Also, anyone ever tried to get their computer to keep a history of any changes or additions to system files? Thanks, ya'll.

Tiny Watcher will log and notify you of any system changes or additions between each boot-up.

Windows has a built in system file protection, if you replace a Windows file with say another file, it will warn you. This doesn't always help though. I've tried using software for it but the software usually gives me a headache and I end up not being able to get it to do what I want it to do.

i just typed in the exe file and it spit it out for me. i did this when i thought i had a virus running. like the spool.exe is for the printer. if you dont have a printer then go to start>run>type in "msconfig"
and then applcations started on boot. then uncheck it. more ram usage for stuff you need
