To broaden your horizens. To learn about another culture first hand. To gain valuable experiences in life. To learn the language better.

Would love to have had this opportunity. I know of people who've done it, and they said they received a million dollar education and wouldn't have traded the experience for the world.

For the experience. Many courses may be taught at your home university but there's nothing like learning about a topic in the region where it actually happened. Going abroad is a very unique experience. I learned alot about myself and my major the six months I spent abroad. Maybe more than I learned at home.

to learn new things. apart from what you learn you might meet new people and do new things that you would never have a chance to do in your country. i wanna study abroad cuz i can't find a good design school in canada.
