The punishment for Carmelo Anthony is not enough, Come on David Stern! Anthony was caught punching Mardy Collins straight to the face. Hey! Carmelo wasn't the one that was fouled hard on the play. He has nothing to do with it, he does not even have the right to be involved in it. If it was JR Smith, I would understand, but Carmelo, he sucks! It just showed what kind of a player he is. Besides, 15 games? It's just like he took a vacation on the holidays. That is not just right!

There should be no suspensions from games for getting into a fight with other players. The NBA is already struggling with putting a decent product out there during the regular season. Who wants to see the Nuggets without Carmelo and J.R.? Fighting happens, what is the big deal? Nobody was seriously injured. If anyone should be suspended, Coach Thomas should be. His ridiculous blaming the Nuggets for "running up the score" is so stupid. I guess when you play the Knicks you have to stop trying once they do. Why not kick the Knicks out of the NBA if they are not interested in playing the whole game.

now you tell me how the hell is this suspension fair when carmelo anthony gets suspended the most games and he wasn't even the one who started the fight the only reasons he got hit the hardest was because he was the biggest name in the bunch and because he was on the cover of a sports magazine as one of the faces of the nba along with lebron james and dwyane wade and then he throws the punch so david stern had to make a statement since he's all about the public perspective and image of the league

everybody's saying he ought to get greater for working away. yet I see it any incorrect way. The punch replaced into so wussy, i might take video games away. It of course did no longer harm lots and it provides Carmelo a huge gamble to come again on the courtroom faster so something of the NBA can initiate cracking jokes throughout video games approximately how he ran away after he threw his punch, lol. yet in all seriousness, i presumed 15 replaced into too lots..i replaced into watching for 10 video games. This did no longer contain any followers so there wasn't going to be any Ron Artest style punishment.

Melo acted like a punk, he got what he deserved and hopefully learned a lesson. You can't sucker punch someone because they are playin dirty, he should have stayed out of it! The only reason he got that suspension is because of the sucker punch, because he's still young and immature, keep in mind if he wouldn't have been drafted he'd be what Jr maybe a Sr at Syracuse still.

He's young and learning, he got what he deserved if not more so...

Carmelo's 15 game suspension was just. He should have backed off and not participated. A smart player who cared about the team would have.

by NBA standards - it is just right.
based on Melo and his perception before the "sucker" punch - i say his stock dropped in my book.
he probably would have gotten more time if he was just an avg. player. but cause he is a star - he got off easy.
why? cause he had ample time to chill and let things calm down. his reaction was not a split second instant reaction.
he coldly, calculated his decision and whaled on a defenseless person. sad but true. these are highly paid thugs who should be forced into some sort of ettiquette program.

He got off really lucky. If he wasn't an All Star and rising marketing piece of the NBA, he would've have got the Artest treatment!
