you are trying to oversimplify something in order to try and trap someone in what you think is a negative setting... truth is it's not that simple... doing what is right is what is important.. and if you are doing what is right it will satisfy both God and Politics.

God should come first. Some people worship their political party affiliation ahead of their religion. This use to confuse me. How can the Jewish people support the party that supports the Palestinians and the destruction iof Israel. They have made the mistake of making their political party their "God." Instead of looking to God and seeking His guidance, too many people turn to government. A political party is the bearer of their food, shelter and clothing. I don't think they even realize they have done this. Did you notice that when the twin towers fell, everybody was asking two questions: Where was God? Where was the government? Both were blamed.

Answer with questions, what is more important God or school, God or your computer, God or clothes, God or news, God or water, God or jobs. What does choosing God or any of the above have to do with either? That is what's wrong with politics today, people have tried to tie both together as some sort of parallel interest in the other. God is the supplier of the universe, politics is the reason for problems in the world.

I would think that a belief in God, and then trying to please him, would affect one's political beliefs. A belief in God affects how you view topics. You either agree or disagree with a political partie's stand on these topics.

So, a belief in God affects your politics. . . so, the belief in God would be more important.

I am a Neo - Conservative**, with Republican leanings, though I have voted for others.

**According to Irving Kristol, the founder and "god-father" of the Neoconservatism, there are three basic pillars of Neoconservatism:
1. Economics: Cutting tax rates in order to stimulate steady, wide-spread economic growth and acceptance of the necessity of risks in that growth, such as budget deficits
2. Domestic Affairs: Preferring strong government but not intrusive government, slight acceptance of the welfare state, adherence to social conservatism, and disapproval of counterculture
3. Foreign Policy: Patriotism is a necessity, world government is a terrible idea, the ability to distinguish friend from foe, protecting national interest both at home and abroad, and the necessity of a strong military

Neither I believe That the law is most important not religion as it means different things to different groups. Nor is political parties very important as they are simply clubs that push various agendas In the end it's the law and the rights given to everyone through the law that is important! I am a Liberal democrat.

God has no place in politics. Modern politics is simply about money and power; ideas are merely window-dressings.

So I would say neither. Freedom is more important. Having a small government that doesn't interfere with private lives through socialist or authoritarian tendencies.

I am an old-school conservative and used to be Republican. I cannot support the party, however, when it supports neo-conservative ideology.

God. Why did you ask this in politics, and not religion? Which do YOU think is more important?

A religious person, republican or democrat, would say God.

A non religious person, republican or democrat, would say politics.

I'm in the minority when it comes to democrats in that I'm not religious. So I would say politics because I see it having a greater impact on our lives.
