My husband sweats like a pig, so I dab the coller area with either dish soap or shampoo for oily hair. It works better then the spray and wash stuff and it is a whole lot more cost effective!
PS- You can alson throw a couple of squirts of the dish soap in your whole load to get out any other sweaty or oily stains on the rest of the clothes.

My husband's dress shirts always get ring around the collar. I use a bit of laundry soap and an old toothbrush and I scrub the area.

I use either Shout on the collar and scrub it in real good or oxyclean powder scrubbed in with a brush. Let it set in at least 5-10 minutes before actual washing.

Vinegar...you can use vinegar to clean just about anything. mix it with some baking soda and you have the perfect natural cleaner for just about anything from ring around the collar to bathroom tile.

Mix it with hot water and lime or lemon juice and you have the perfect tile or linoleum floor cleaner!
