All I can tell you is to be prepared for a shock on the costs.

Firstly, the law firm will normally take 33% to 40% of any settlement you might get.

They will bill you for any and all telephone calls, emails, letters, reproduction costs, UPS/FedEx costs, etc., etc., etc.

Also, be ready to pay any and all other lawyers used, and so called experts or investigators they hire to provide information, do background checks, give depositions, generate opinions or reports in writing, or for court appearences (etc.). All of these will come out of any settlement you get also.

Settlement checks are written to the law firm and not to you (normally). The law firm will take any/all money you owe them before you see a single cent so be prepared for that also.

My advice is: before you sign on any dotted line with a law firm, you need to fully know what you will be financially responsible for. Most folks think that because they are giving up the 33 to 40% of a settlement that they owe nothing else. Simply not the case at all.

Also: Class action law suits typically go on for several years. They are never resolved expediciously. Remember, a class action suit involves their team of Corporate Lawyers. You will be hiring a lawyer or a law firm. It's going to be the little guy versus the corporation so be prepared. You may be getting into something you'll be sorry for later on.

Get all the facts, and think it out completely before you sign up with any lawyer or law firm on something like this.

Best of Luck, and hope this helps.

Many of the lawyers that advertise nationaly handle class action suits, just about everywhere.

Otherwise, check out the yellow pages in book form or online.

You know in class action law suits the money is divided amond a lot of people who seldom get more than a dicount or a few dollars. The legitimacy of this type of suit is often questionable in a lot of people's minds.

Sometimes they are legit and people actually realize something from it, but for most major corporations, it is sort of written of as the coast of doing business, the settlement is negoitiated among lawyers on both sides and the PEOPLE get token amounts.

You may find the costs absolutely prohibitive unless an organization is funding those. Probably not. Also these take years, usually.

Two, or sometimes more law firms do very well, though!!

Something to think about!
