I’m not seeing one group of relatives for Christmas until Dec. 26th and really don’t want to spend money on gifts. I’m thinking since I have to throw the live tree out after Christmas anyway it will make a nice gift for them. They also live more of a country/wooded area so they can just toss in the woods once it completely dies. Plus, they normally don’t take their own tree down until after New Years so they will have TWO (2) Christmas trees on display for at least a week. Not too many folks can say they have two trees. My question(s), is this a proper gift and should I leave the tinsel on it for them?

It sounds cheap.More of an insult then anything else ! You are better of not to give it at all .Why don't you take a gift you receive and regift it instead ??? Or is it just to precious for you to give something more than something you were going to throw out anyways ?

it may be an undemanding thank you to do away with it, without you having to take it off someplace. i might pass away the tinsel on it, why might you do away with from the ask your self. it quite is unlike you will use it back next year besides. Have a Merry Christmas.

might be good for you, but not a good idea. Go visit, have fun, enjoy the company and hopefully they will be glad your there, don't worry about the gift, that's not what it's about. But if you decide to do this don't forget to take all the paper and ribbons left from your other gifts and leave this too,

its a great and thoughtful gift, leave the tinsel on, but take off the candy canes....that would be over doing it a bit.

I think you have an over-active imagination and way tooooo much time on your hands. They say "it's the thought that counts...not the gift" but in your case...better work on the "gift". And next time be more creative in your questions! LOL. ;)
