Oh please, let her go about her partying and give up the crown. With all that money, ensuing contracts and benefits, she should have more self-respect and respect for the title. Her heartfelt, emotional appeal on TV made me laugh - does she really think the public is that stupid?

Being that Donald owns her and everything to do about her right now, he could have done anything he wanted to. The choices were simple for him, either keep her and show you are a nice guy who gives second chances to anyone who will at least try to make them self better. OR. Fire her ***, sending her back to her little mullet wearing town where she would be disgraced, probably continue drinking and cocaine use, end up overweight and continually pregnant working at the local wal-mart and married to some guy same Billy Bob Buddy Joe Jenkins. (If there is a guy by that name in that town, lol, sorry bout that.) I figure she is a good looking lady who screwed up, nothing bout her past said she was a screw up, so why not give her a second chance. In doing so Donald made himself look like a savior.

Don't know enough about it to make the call. You said "due to her alleged underage drinking and cocaine abuse" -- to me, that means someone has accused her of wrongdoing but hasn't proven it. It was a little different with Vanessa Williams because you could go to your local 7-11, buy a copy of Penthouse magazine, and not only was she buck-naked she was in a lesbian spread with another woman! On this particular issue I go with the sage observation of one Colonel Sherman T. Potter: "Evidence is one thing, inuendo is another." If someone provided proof that Tara was drinking underage, that probably could be forgiven, but if there was hard evidence that she was doing drugs, take her freaking crown.

I don't think The Donald has the right to judge anyone, let alone this woman. And I really can't imagine anyone seeing her as a role model. I've never met anyone who had Miss USA as their role model.

I just want to say not everyone has done drugs or do drugs.. because i don't.. thats the craziest reply i've ever seen. I think she should not relinquish her title people at times make mistake and as long as she admits her mistake and learn from them.. that should provide children with a good role model.

I believe she should relinquish her crown. She is supposed to be a role model to girls around the world. If she is given a second chance it will show young girls from around the world that it is alright to do something wrong and not be punished for it.

I think The Donald was right. She is not doing anything that a lot of people her age are not doing.

here's a better question.. what did she do to get Donald to give her a second chance? Donald isn't known for being the most forgiving guy around.. so how did she convince him to give her a second chance? hmm... makes ya wonder.. ;)

It was all about publicity. He got more press out of her than the last 5 Miss USA. Now she is on notice so she better behave. I think she is going to get it together. We don't want to turn her over to the wolves yet.
