Are you kidding? If you think you need something to help you stop drinking so much........then you are an alcoholic. And that means you need to STOP drinking. No...there is nothing that will help you "reduce your daily dose" of whiskey. Please get help. You can't stop by yourself. You've probably tried to stop before and you haven't been able to, right? Or you have promised your family that you will stop and you haven't been able to do that, either.

Either....check yourself into a hospital, rehab or go to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting right away. You will be saving your life. Find a meeting:

Your single dose is low and is usually prescribed to help one get to sleep the first week or so when starting antidepressants. But why do you take it 3X a day? Surely your anxiety is not present all your waking day. Try using a stronger dose only when you need it. Remember the more you take a Benzo the more you become accustomed to the dose and will need a bigger one later on to get the same results. Stop the 3X. Take it only when you know a stressful situation is comming up. 25 + 25 = 50 . It works for me.

drinking is a learned behavior. Everybody is trying to blame it on the genes. If that is the case, in some cultures where the women do not drink there are no alcoholic women eventhough their fathers were swimming in alcohol 24hrs. 7.

Bottom line is with will power you can stop it. You do not need any medicine. All you need is your courage to stop

Yes.

You and the your will power.

About table spoon a day is healthy but very expensive for most of us.

I do not know how much but if you have any kind of addiction, dose will go up, to the point that it can be lethal.

have you tried AA? There is a drug I think it's called "Antibuse?" I know I didn't spell it right. Your doctor will know what you are talking about. It's a medication you take that reacts with Alcohol and will make you violently ill when you drink alcohol. I don't think it works, I think you would probably just end up getting sick or not taking it.

Reduce the quintity you put per glass. May be instead of 60ml to 45 ml and soda....
2. Try to be in a company of some one whom you respect very high and be with his/her company for long time. (only condition he/she should not be asking your to give company for their drink.)

wow. HARD! gotta lessen it a bit every day. this will be mondo hard!. Do it, though, and use a TINY chaser of a bev you really don't like to offset craving. This will be SOOOO hard. You would be best off joining AA and REALLY working the 12 steps. I mean, sfter all, you don't wanna die, do you? Best of luck!
