What is this smell in my house???

Question

It almost smells like either a dead animal or horrible trash, which of course I've changed all of them. Also, strangely, it is all over the house, not just in one area, which leads me to believe it's something in the air ducts. What should I do??

didn't lose a hamster a few months ago did you? probably a dead roddent in your venting system

Have you had someone check out the air ducts? What about damp or wet insulation in the roof cavity? Do you have carpet on the floor?
There could be a moisture buildup from underneath? Have someone inspect these areas and replace if necessary.
