Ask them why they are being mean to you. Hopefully they will explain their reasons and you can both work it out. If not, just ignore them.

Well , as you can see every one is helping , I have a few ideas, I had to deal with the same thing growing up , the best thing is to not start any conversations that may get the persn upset , be nice and loving to the person , it may not change the person , (never dose or some times ,aslo set a good example and being loving and kind ,(best thing is do not be mean back , speak wisely , and avoid trying to changing the person , if you are married or dating or have a family member , (
Dating : If he or she is treating you badly dump them ,in the fruture he will still treat you meanly ( do not be scared ).
Marrage: If you are married to the person , treat him with kindness ,If he or she has friends ,have the friend talk to the person, on how the way he or she is treating you , and hopfully it will work ,or make some coffee tea ect.. and set down with the person and talk and reason with the person , on how he or she is treating you , and find out why he or she is treating you that way ,and if there is any way from preventing from he or she being mean to you ,like changing things ,he or she may not like in the of living with you ect ....not saying change your self ,but suggest ,what is posable for you to change , like in the house ect ....
Family : if you have family members that are treating you meanly , again set down with the person and find out what is wrong , and what can you do to stop, his or hers meaness towords you , like what you might of done that you may not known about ,that the person may not like , so mostly talk and find out the problem .

The way you deal with someone who is mean is to show them kindness.(keep a smile on your face and "Joy" in your heart)I apply this everyday even when things aren't going well I still keep your head up and sing to yourself"I sing these songs that have nothing but Joy in them like 'Let it all Go"by Anthony Faulkner it's a beautiful song.I have to deal with somone who just had a stroke it's hard because this man was and still is a proud man and he dosen't want anyone to tell him to do anything,I am a persistant but fair person and expect respect at all times.I tell him that I may not understand what your going through but I can try that's all I can do.Meaness is not nessasary comming from anyone but if they want to be that way don't let it bleed on you.Stay uplifted and pray for that person.Let them know you care and then leave it alone.Hey there is another song to sing"God's got a Blessing"by Norman Hutchins you probobly have figured out now that I am a Christian but it truly works when you have to deal with sadness, meaness etc.Have a Good Day Good Luck

Most people say, "Ignore them." but that's a really hard thing to do. you should try to ignore them. If that doesn't work and they contiually annoy or are mean to you tell someone the boss, or if your at school, a teacher. If they threaten you, you may be called a snitch or whatever, but tell the cops or someone who can protect you. O this is good if they keep being mean to you tell them you're calling the cops on them if they continue. If they say, "what are the cops gonna do?" you can say put you in jail. harassment and threats are against the law. This is if nothing else works. Sometimes killing with kindness and other stuff does not work.
Hope this helped and you understand ^_^

That's just it you don't have too. If a person can't respect you and treat you like a human being then leave them alone and chances are when they see no one else is gonna put up with their crap they'll be back. You can deal with alot of things but this shouldn't be one of them because it's more abuse in the worst kind of way so don't take it and they can see how hard it is being mean all by themselves.

Don't pay any attention to them, they're just trying get a reaction out of you. If you just let it slip by and be the bigger person they'll probably stop because your not doing what you want them to do. If they're really bugging you and just trash talking you. Stand up to them and tell them to leave you alone. And if all fails beat the crap out of them, but don't have any wittnesses so that u can tell them that whoever hit you first so u don't get into that much trouble. Or you can talk to someone who can help like a teacher parent whoever. It's nice to have ur friends around to help u stand up to the person also. Hope that helps

Haha.. that's the problem i got over a few months ago.. The mean guy/gal acts like you're a scum whenever he/she sees you. But if you look and have a pitious smile on you face and nod your head just a little everytime he/she does it, you have your mission accomplished. He/She never does the same thing again, acting like you're a scum or whatever.. You have to try it.. Cause their aim is making you feel bad and nervous, but if you don't care and show them that you dont give a ... about them, they have nothing left to do, cuz their only aim on life is to disturb others..

I've usually found the best tactic with mean people is to simply not respond or acknowledge them at all.
I've also said nothing, stared blankly and turned and walked away.
Mean people want a reaction or a response, that's why they are mean. It really kills them if they don't get any response.

understand that someone who is mean, has issues, it does not have to do anything with you. if it someone close to you, address the issue with them and ask him or her, what is really going on and try to help as much as you can without taking it up to yourself to save them. if it is someone you have little or limited contact with, let it go, again, it is not you, is them. Kill them with kindness, it still works like a charm...
