Breaks my heart what the schools are not teaching our youth.

I agree completely. I am scared cause it seems like its so uncool to be polite and intelligent and responsible. And I spend a LOT of time supplementing the sorry *** cirriculum of my kid's school with extra facts and extra work. Unfortunately, not all parents do this. Fortunately there are many bright stars but as with everything else in the world the bad ones are louder and therefore get more attention. If we adults spent the time to really focus and lavish good attention on good actions and good behavior I think our kids would step up for the challenge. But we tend to reward them for waking up in the morning and breathing so why should they try to work for anything when everything is handed to them.

Well, the schools are "dumbing them down". And guess what? That generation will be taking care of us when we are old! Or at least me! lol Kinda scary dontcha think?

You might be surprised! We have some younguns on here that are pretty darn brilliant. It's the dadblamed text messaging that causes the weirdness. They forget they don't have to use their thumbs and type on a mini-keyboard when they get here!

This "no child left behind" thing should read "all children left behind"....It's a crime and a shame the way our education system is run...suckz the big one....
