how do you do a native smudging?

I use a shell put sage in it then light the sage using wooden matches. once the sage is going use a feather to fan the smoke go through every corner of the house while saying your prayers these prayers can be silent the spirits know. it is best to find someone that knows the religion to do the smudging, but not always necessary just be doing your prayers. good luck

I use a mixture of sage and sweet grass. after purifying myself and those who help me by smudging and Prayers we burn the sage and sweet grass using a feather to move the smoke in each and every corner of the area to be smudges. after smudging the area inside we do the area outside the home. once completed then we smoke a pipe offering the prayers and petitions to THE GREAT MYSTERY

Use sage and make the ritual your own. If you want to clear your home or office of negativity then get the sage (at a metaphysical store, etc.) and after prayer or meditation that means something to you, make your intention of purifying your area clear while burning the sage and walking around. Go outside in the yard and do this too.
