What will it cost me to have my book edited and ready for publishing. I need it proof read , paragraphed , and put in chapters.
Who can do this and what will it cost?

Most places I've seen charge between 1 and 1.5 cents per word. With a decent length novel running about 100,000 words, you're looking at around $1,000- $2,000.

For the extensive work you're asking for, I'd say expect about $4,000-$5,000

You need to get it as close to publication as possible, then submit it to legit publisher. If they accept it, then they will take care of the editing at NO cost to you. Publication should not cost an author ANYTHING other than time, patience and the cost of postage.

You should paragraph and chapter it yourself, then submit it to publishing companies. If they choose to publish it not only will editing not cost you, they'll pay you for the right to publish it.

$125,000 American. At least.

Paragraphed!? -- You are basically talking a total rewrite there. This is not a small secretarial duty. This is a major creative overhaul or infusion to the original.

You have to ask the person you want to hire what he or she will charge you.
