The West Bank belonged to Jordan, just like The Gaza Strip was part of Egypt. Under American arbitration these territories went to Isreral as war reperations and were only supposed to be buffer zones, ergo not part of Isreal! Palestinians were suppose to occupy it but socalled terrorist attacks led to a massive policy of deportation, and Isreali settlement.
