I'd wonder if you were hurting financially, or if you had converted to a Jehovah's Witness or if you got smart and decided that Christmas wasn't truly all about commercialized gift giving and the hassles that go along with it...Especially the ingrates who didn't appreciate your efforts.

Well, if I didn't tell them anything, they would probably think I was abducted by aliens or sick. However, since I tend to talk things through, they would know what was going on. If you are thinking of foregoing gifts, tell them why... I am sure you matter much more than any gift!

I think they would not care whether you give presents or not. I was down and out a couple of Christmas ago and all I could afford was a card wishing them the best for the holidays. But lo and behold, they are still around me and still love me to this day. So don't sweat it. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

i think of he's suited to a pair quantity, yet you will desire to purchase some small presents for the travelers, those should not be too vast or high priced. Are those are secure in those 12 - 14 persons.

If they know your situation and you can't afford to then they will be sympathetic and understand. You can always make gifts with the little things around the house it just takes a little imagination

It depends on the family member. My husband and mother wouldn't care. I would feel terrible if I didn't give my children & grandchildren gifts..

They dont expect any from me. We are not a fafmily focused on gifts, we focus on being together and breaking bread.

That I didn't have any money Actually, it would mystify them because I am very generous at Christmas and birthdays.
