I hope not.
Noe-conservatism is one of the dumbest political ideologies I have ever seen. The right wing used to be respectable, even if you disagreed with it. That's no longer the case, though. The Neo-con agenda has ruined the GOP. I just hope that we can get some aspect of pale-conservatism back. We don't need the government meddling in private affairs, creating record national debt, supporting interventionist foreign policy (while not giving enough support to the generals), increasing government size, and developing the Department of Fatherland Security.

No Neanderthals are extinct. The GOP is very much alive. But the more liberal Democrats are the ones who caused the NeoConservatives to leave the Democratic party. NeoConservatives are the old style CONSERVATIVE Democrats who could no longer stand when the liberals were taking the party. So they left.
When you look at the Democrats who defeated Republicans in this last election you notice the vast majority of them aren't very liberal. So while the Democrats now control the House and Senate they do this because of the conservative newcomers.

No. Homo Sapien exits, "Neocons" are just a buzzword for the anxiety lurking in the closet or under the bed of liberals. The evolutionary law doesn't mean that homo sapien killed off the neanderthal, just that when changes came, the neaderthals were probably rattling on about "climate change" while homo sapiens adapted to change to survive.
