I couldn't choose between them. Frankly, I think it's best to think of it as one really long film. If memory serves, that's the way Tolkein intended it when he wrote it (one long epic novel; not three "installments")...

I like them all but i would have to say the two towers. Because i love the great battle at helms deep and i like how Gandalf comes back and how gollum/smeagol comes into as well.
In the extended version i love the part where Aragorn calms Brego. Also i think part of that movie is funny at the chapter name of 'Of herbs and stew' it is so funny.
I absoluty love all of the movies for lots of different reasons so really i cant say wot is my favourite. In the return of the king I do love the part where Legolas takes down a oliphaunt that's amazing. Also the part at the end where Aragorn sings he has a great voice and so does Billy Boyd who plays Pippin when he sings as well. I really like the part in The fellowship of the ring where the ringwraiths are riding after Arwen that's also a fantastic part of that movie oh and the part where the ringwraiths attack at weathertop and aragorn takes them out that's brilliant. Basically i love the whole lot of the movies and they are my favourite films and always will be!!!!!

They all have their great moments. FOTR is just great because you meet all these awesome characters, and I love Lothlorien and Boromir. The Battle of Helms Deep and the arrival of Eomer and Gandalf at the end owns TTT, and the Battle of Pelinor Fields on ROTK rocks my socks. I have to say I love the last one most, though...

A BETTER QUESTION WOULD BE WHICH IS BETTER THE MOVIE OR THE BOOK. THE MOVIE LEFT OUT SO MANY THINGS AND CHANGED MANY OTHERS. HOWEVER IT IS ONE OF THE ONLY MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN I LIKED BETTER THEN THE BOOK. "RETURN OF THE KING" WAS BEST PART.

They're all wonderful. They all need to be seen to fully appreciate the story.

But the best is probably 'Return of the King''.
