XBox 360 or a Playstation 3...
At this past years E3 (Electronic's convention where the preview upcoming gaming consoles and other cool stuff), the Microsoft guys were promoting the Wii saying... "why would you get a Playstation 3 when you could get a 360 and a Wii for the same price??"
The 360 and PS3 have nicer graphics (you need special cables... usually hdmi or component to see it AND a TV that will show it).
If you want a PS3.... wait. Don't get it now... Even when the 360 launched the games weren't that good. There is NO MUST HAVE game for the PS3. Xbox 360 finally has Gears of War (it takes longer to develop games that are graphics heavy I assume) which is an amazing game.
If you're looking for a fun system to play with friends and family... (not a hardcore gamer who likes the first person shooters, etc) then check out the Wii. It is the most innovative system of the three...

definetly 360. First, because blu ray is not worth it. second, halo 3 will come out and that will be a must-have of the century. thrid, $500 or $600 is totally not worth it for a vide game console. Fourth, wii beat ps3 and there is a high chance making 360 beat the wii meaning it also beat the ps3. And if you dont like the 360, then get a wii instead, they are very fun.

Xbox 360, cause' it has gears of war and Halo 3 only for xbox 360, plus a lot of other games, it's gonna take a while for ps3 to get some good games out.

I'd go with a 360 - it's been out a year now, so most of the kinks have been worked out of the system (I've had mine since August and had no problems), it's got more games out, it has more exclusive games than PS3 like Gears of War and the Halo series.
But go with whatever system you think you'll enjoy more. I've never been a big PS fan.

Ps3 all the way, Xbox 306 is highly priced and the game variety is nto as good as Ps3

xbox 360 is the best console out and it still will be when the ps3 comes out. i mean who is going to pay over half a grand for the ps3 console.

its 360 and i would get a ps3 but you have a better chance of finding a xbox 360

Neither. I'm Wii all the way. But if I had to chose between the two I'd probably go with the 360.
