Yep Pogues and Kirstie McCall Great song capturing the other side of christmas in Ireland. Drunks and all are given a mention here not just the presents and bows and ribbons. Well take the bad with the good and have a merry Christmas and a good New Year dont forget a round of Galway bay from new york's finest while you're at it.

The Pogues played Brixton Acadamy this week and played this classic with Kirsty's part sung by Jem Finer's daughter and what a good job she did.
Kirsty was killed whilst Scuba diving in South America. A speed boat was being used in an area set aside for diving. Kirsty was diving with her sons and got hit by the speed boat. This was (allegedly) being operated by the owner of a large supermarket chain. He (allegedly) got a deck hand to take the blame so got off scot free for causing the death of this wonderful, beautiful lady

The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. It's available on various 'Best Of Christmas' albums, and also The Best Of The Pogues and 'From Croydon To Cuba....An Anthology' by Kirsty MacColl.

She was an absolutely fantastic singer, and if you like her on Fairytale of New York, I'd definitely reccomend you buy one of the Kirsty MacColl Anthologies... 'From Croydon To Cuba', 'Anthology' or 'Galore'. And if you're feeling adventurous 'Tropical Brainstorm', Kite' and the beautiful 'Titanic Days' are absolutely amazing!!!! Sorry to go on, but she was a truly amazing vocalist!

This song was sung by the Pogues ft Kirst Mccall.
I think that they're all still alive but Kirsty Mccall was killed in a jet skiing accident.
