When these companies give you an estimate of how many days it will take to ship, its in business days.. in other words, Monday through Friday. The 16th, 17th, 23rd, and 24th are weekends, thus it telling you the 27th. Shipping things ground also is the slowest method, if you want to ensure things arrive before a major holiday you need to use some kind of priority mail.

However, I would still guess you have a chance on recieving it before Christmas.

UPS does ship earlier than expected, but keep in mind that it is the Holiday Season and there are a lot packages being shipped this time of the year. Just keep tracking your number on a daily basis. I recently ordered something on-line and it said it would be shipped between the 15th & 22nd of this month, when I checked the tracking number, it said estimated time of arrival for January (which upset me cuz it was a Christmas present), luckily it arrived earlier, it actually arrived on the 12th of December, so everything worked out great, so keep checking & good luck & Happy Holidays!!!

Much like the post office at this time of year, the usual amount of delivery time it takes for standard shipping is not a guarantee. The only way you can be sure of a product getting to where it needs to be so close to the holidays is pay for guaranteed overnight, next day or 2 day shipping. It is a lot of money to do this though, but it is the only sure thing

I've found shipping estimates are very conservative, which means it may arrive much sooner. Although it may be 4-8 day shipping, you still have to add the time the place you ordered it from took to pack and ship it off.

Keep an eye on the tracking information...

Estimates are usually working days, and exclude weekends and holidays, so the 27th is still within the 8 days, and you're still getting what you paid for.

Even if they say that they don't exclude Saturdays, the 27th is still the 8th day - 12/18 would be one day shipping, then there's 12/19, 12/20, 12/21, 12/22, 12/23, 12/26, 12/17 - that's 8, count them.

If you need to take a pregnancy test and its a urine test I do not think you need a doctor script, plus it would be cheaper to go to the drug store and buy one, but if your talking about a blood test then you need to contact a doctors office and let them know you what to come in for a blood test to find out it your pregnant and ask them how much it is. Good luck
