It's all a conspiracy from Nintendo to get your money. The stores actually have more than their selling. Nintendo wants to drive the sales up by creating a higher demand. In essence, Best Buy and all the other stores are hoarding them from you.

My guess is Spring of 2007. After Christmas, Hannukah, and any other gift giving holiday, the demand won't be as high. But, I still think it'll be sold out for a while after as people who couldn't get it will be rushing to pick it up. I don't know though... that's just a guess. I'm trying to remember what happened with the PSP.

Most Likely after the holidays, all the parents are buying all of them up for presents. People need to share.

It already is but if you can not get it it should be readily avaliable after the holiday rush so about January 4th
