Look singapore is a travel hub. Many flights go through singapore, with people changing flights to other destinations. Chances are you can fly on the best airline for less money if you are lucky.
The best prices in Asia are usually non-direct flights, sometimes even flying further away from destination can be cheaper than flying directly. So go to travel agents and shop around for the best deal.
