Dead
To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on. If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it.

Its probably a matter of working out issues. It can be surprising how long it can take to work out issues or how hidden some of those issues can be. You could also have just thought of them for some reason (or if you're worried about your own health/safety you could be thinking of how you could end up with them).

One thing people can do is this: When someone has died fairly recently people can start dreaming about other dead people, and sometimes the recently deceased person is there. There's a matter of a person's needing to process the idea that the most recently deceased person is now with the others. There's a complication ("issues-wise"), though, because sometimes we've already processed and accepted the deaths that happened a longer time ago. We have processed and "emotionally filed" those people in one "category" in our minds/hearts. The more recently dead person, though, is not, to us, in the same place as the others. We haven't processed it to the same degree we've processed the other deaths, so emotionally the newer death is not "equal" to the older ones.

At the same time, we know the person is not with us. It is as if they're in some "emotional limbo" because we haven't processed it enough or had enough time pass. Its almost as if that disbelief part of the grief process kind of hangs around just a tiny bit for a certain amount of time.

Sometimes we have that dream where the dead person shows up and is "all happy" but a little odd acting. We wonder why, if they're still alive, as they appear to be, they haven't told us where they've been. We're so happy they're here, but there's always something kind of creepy or odd about them. They're kind of distant, and they always have to go. There's something about our "meeting" them that makes us know things aren't back to normal.

It can be part wishful thinking, part longing, part the confusion you may have felt right before or after they died (and while you were under the influence of the numbness of fresh grief), or just thinking about them. One issue that I think is a big one is the impact of seeing them in a casket or else the issue of not seeing them in a casket.

If you saw the person (and he/she was close) you were numb, but you saw how it was them and yet they could not respond to you. You were aware that they were in the casket, and yet so aware they were gone. Under the numbness of fresh grief your mind may have kind of tucked away the processing of this odd experience of seeing them there-but-not-there; and it comes back later when they show up in a dream, being odd and planning to leave etc.

If you don't see the person in the casket there is a different odd experience, and that is that your head knows the person is dead; but you may not have entirely digested it. Again, though, under the numbness, your mind could have tucked this uncertainty or sense of unfinished business away to be dealt with later.

You may think you process it intellectually at some point, but emotionally it isn't processed; because you may not even realize what thoughts/components went into that experience.

So, those are some reasons dead people show up in our dreams. The "issues" don't always have to be any particular emotional problem you have or had with the person. They're just the death experiences issues that had an impact on us and that we may have thought we dealt with intellectually but that we haven't yet processed emotionally.

Thank you for the kind answers and link to the dream site. Your so nice! But about your dream, I think that your maybe afraid of death. Or you have a feeling that someone is going to die and you don't want that yo happen. I don't really know since I'm not a dream expert. But from just trying to figure your dream out, I get this feeling that that's the reason. Also, maybe the pig scared you and ever since then, sub-consciously you kept thinking about death more? Or maybe you were thinking how horrible it was to dissect that pig that in your mind you felt you were killing things even more...even if it was already dead you think you were the killer? Because you said everything you touched in your dream gave a death scream, as if you were the bad one. I don't know, that's just my opinion.

I have dreamed of people that were dead and for me it was a way to say goodbye if I didn't get the chance. I also look at it as them checking up on me, making sure I am okay.
In my opinion death is not the end. It is just another step in our "lives". Yes I believe in reincarnation and life after death and all that stuff.

So you need to look more into the dream. Were they people you knew? What else was going on? What were you doing?

Death = termination, repentance, loss, sorrow, failure, and the end of a relatonship. It depends on what the dream is to find out which one of the above it means. Sometimes the dead will let you know they are happy in heaven by giving you a farewell in your dream, so you won't worry anymore. If this is the case, they will say something like"I am happy", or "don't worry anymore". something like that.

Have you seen any scary movies or something of that sort? If the event scared you it's understandable that maybe dead people just is your subconcious still "watching the movie". It would have been better if you had given some kind of description so I could attempt to help you more.

Death: to see someone dying in great pain, means that you will shed tears before the day is over, out of pure sympathy for someone who is suffering. Are these dead people relatives?

well, it would depend if you are dreaming of dead people you know, or strangers, and also are these people dying in your dream, are they already dead (if its someone you know it might represent your fears for them),, or is it a case of people you knew who have passed on, but in your dream they are still alive (that could mean you are simply thinking of them )

Opinions differ, obviously. In some cases, the dream may have actually been a "visit"...usually coorelated with how vivid the dream seems.
But...sometimes it's just you working out your issues.
