I had an experience that has made me swear off pot for the rest of my life. My roomies and I all had a similar experience which included suicidal thoughts and fear off a lose of control and multiple personalities. Totally terrifying.

First, the idea that the marijuana high is caused by restricted blood flow to the brain is just plain nonsense. You will find that lots of the answers to these questions come from people who really don't know anything about the subject and still believe Reefer Madness.

The effects you describe are not at all typical of pot. If you and your friends all had the same experience then the most likely explanation is that you were smoking something that had been laced (perhaps with PCP) or otherwise got something that was impure or extremely bad quality.

You can find a ton of research on the effects of marijuana at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer It all says the same thing -- such effects from marijuana range from very rare to totally unknown. Look for another cause for whatever you experienced.

Marajuana constricts the blood flow to your brain, that's what gives you the feeling of being "high". Normally there shouldn't be any suicidal thoughts or mental anguish, as when in this state of "high" you should feel completely comfortable. I'm glad to hear you got off of the illegal habit!

Marijuana may cause some feelings of paranoia, but on a whole would not make one suicidal. If anything it would relieve tension and make you feel mellow. I wonder if perhaps the weed you experienced was laced with some other drug, like angel dust.

I think you guys smoked some bad stuff, probably laced with something. I would be questioning the person I bought it from.

I don't know what you mean with "losing your mind", but yes, pot can cause severe panic attacks and drug induced psychosis in people who are already emotionally instabil.

wow, either that stuff was laced, or you guys are all total pusssies.

also, "lose" and "loose" are two different words.

"lose" is what you do when you don't win, or when you can't find something. you lose your mind, or you lose your softball game.

"loose" is the opposite of tight.
