When entering a word in the Web Search bar (the one to the right of Yahoo!) I can not seem to be able to remove it. Here is a previous answer, which I did and it still didn't work! Here is an answer given by someone previously on this matter ......... "on your web window go to tools, and click internet options. Delete your cookies, and clear your history. CLick apply. This should clear them from memory" ............ I deleted my Cookies, I cleared my History in the Privacy Tab. I even ran Winclear software and nothing I do in an attempt to remove that search is working! There has got to be a way!! If anyone can do an experiment and come back with something that will permanently remove search history from this bar, please let me know! Thanks, and enjoy the holidays!!

The previous answer is almost correct...In internet explorer, go to TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS. In Internet options go to the GENERAL TAB. In the General Tab you will see BROWSING HISTORY. Hit the DELETE button. This will open a new window with all sorts of options. At the bottom hit the button that says DELETE ALL. If you want to never have these search boxes keep a record go back into the INTERNET OPTIONS, go to the CONTENT TAB and go to AUTO COMPLETE, SETTINGS button . Once in the auto-complete settings, turn off the settings you don't want any longer. Hope this helps. Dameon R. Gore, A+ Computer Technologies. http://www.geocities.com/droget2000

Actually, if you're talking about the Yahoo! Search bar, just click on it, and it will give you the option to clear the bar, and that will get rid of your history.. The one you were trying to do was actually for internet explorer. Another thing you might want to do is, turn off autocomplete.

Go to Tools - Options - General.

Click the button that says "Delete" on this tab. Then click "Delete Saved Forms".

You'll have to close and re-open IE for this to take effect.
