Please explain how to practise pranayama suitable for a begginer. I want to try this but it is not possible for me to join any training institute right now and I am confused which type is good for a begginer. What are the precautions? are any special changes needed in daily life for getting good results?

Pranayama is a good exercises for Maximum Lung Function.
! ) Sit in a comfortable position.
2 ) Relax your body parts
3 ) Close your eyes.
4 ) Hold your thumb on your left nostril and close it by pressing your thumb of right hand.
5 ) Take a deep breath slowly, till your lungs are full and your stomach flat.Count up to 5 doing so.
6 ) Now breath out slowly in the same nostril,till your stomach is bulging full and count up to 15 while breathing out.
The ratio of breathing must be 1:3
7 ) Repeat it for 5 times.
8 ) Now do the same with your right nostril,closing your right nostril with the right hand ring finger.
9 ) Open both of your nostrils
10) Breath in slowly till your stomach is flat and chest expanded to the maximum.
11) Breath out from both the nostrils till your chest is flat and stomach maximum bulged.
Repeat this 5 times.
Go back to 4 and repeat both the exercises for 9 times.
Open your eyes very slowly,relaxing your body.
Say - OM, OM , OM very slowly 3 times.
Slowly get up.
Before You start take a breathing Lung test.
Take the same test after doing pranayama for 45 days,see your lung capacity increase to hold more air.

kapal bhati-u can do this daily morning and evening in empty stomach.1.sit on any asana i.e padmasana straight and breath throuhg ur nostrils ,while intaking air that time must be ur stomach will be big and while air leaving ur stomach must empty.intitially u do this 50 times.later slowly incrased up to 500.and anulom belome and other pranayama u must purchase ramdev babas cd and once u observed the cd then no need ask anybody.

I would suggest that you see an experienced yoga teacher. Not all pranayama is suitable for everybody and she can show you the exercises you need.

Switch on AASHTA Tv in the morning at 6:00. Then, observe BABA RAMDEV doing pranayam & Kapalbadi carefully, u will learn properly & quickly.

WATCH ASTHMA CHANNEL, every night 8.15 to 9.30, by yoga guru swamy rammdev maharaj, his CD, one set of two, available at all music stores just for rs.110/-, it so simple and easy to learn with couple of days u can master it... but u must do pranayam every day

practice observing your breathe byu closing eyes fixed posture. take so for inhaling ham for exhaling . watch out ramdev tv programme. 1:4:2 maintain

Do some research online and see if you can locate tapes or videos or books that might help guide you.
