investigations are for looking into something. They are not judge jury and executioner. So investigations would be just that. Looking into it...why would anyone be against it? ESPECIALLY if there was no wrong doing...

Yes, and yes.

Generally, I can't see a reason not to ask questions and get answers.

Interestingly enough, the congressional (Senate, I believe) investigation into pre-war statements hit a snag when the Republican leadership suggested that statements be evaluated blindly - in other words, the statement and the date it was made would be known, but the person making the statement would not be revealed to the people assigned to evaluate its accuracy. That way, you'd get an objective evaluation of the statements of both Democrat and Republican officials without any spin from either side.

I assume that will not happen now, as the Democrats opposed that and they now control the Congress.

Again, more facts are good. Investigate away. But do it consistent with the fact that our soldiers are facing an enemy that watches us for any signs that we are "giving up."

Clinton was investigated. Remember Ken Starr? The most important thing is to find some national consensus on dealing with a spiraling out of control war. Democrats and Republicans both have to speak up with realistic plans; Bush has to listen and stop chanting, "Stay the course." or whatever slogan he's adopted lately.

1. Yes I supporting, and still support the investigation into the Bush Administration's debacle in Iraq.

2. As far as I know, all Clinton did that was worthy of investigation was the Monica Luinsci scandal, and what is there to investigate about that?

I agree with the original poster. We'll investigate where Clinton's **** was on any given day just because some old chick was p'd off cuz she wasn't gettin any, but hell if we'll investigate why the current administration has our entire military deployed.

If only ppl would realize a lot of these "liberal vs. conservative" issues would dwindle if we'd just start seeing other parties in this democracy...Americans should be outraged at themselves for falling into the "2-party democracy".

YES because if they gave open and unbiased media coverage the critics will be forced to admit there WERE and possibly still ARE WMDs in Iraq. I doubt efforts into the investigation of the Clinton Administration will do any good without foreign sources like captured materials in Iraq because of the clean out done after the democrats knew they would not stay in the White House, and because the full conspiracy of the French, Russians and members of the UN to aid Iraq in violation of UN treaties will never be known. When you have people like Sandy Berger smuggling documents out in their pants, what kind of paper trail would you expect to find?

I do support the investigation of the Bush Admn. Its only obvious that we have really F uped Iraq. Everyone in his original Admn has resigned to keep their asses in the clear. Something clearly went wrong from the very beginnings of this war, even before it started. some one needs to be held accountable. Can you say Vietnam 2?

Clinton was impeached for perjury, not for having an affair!!! Hullo???

Let's investigate the Bush Administration for mishandling the war and lets investigate Congress (like Kerry and Clinton) who voted for it before they voted against it, or whatever it was.

If Congress would stay out of it and support the troops and give them what they need to finish the job. Both Iraq and America would be a better place.

No, why should it be investigated. Almost every single member of congress democrat and republican voted for war. If we investigate Bush, shouldn't they all be held in the same light?
