Is it just one website or is it on all websites?
If it's just on one website, the problem is with that specific web site. It may be down for maintenance or no longer available.
If it's with EVERY website, then you may not be connected to the modem or your computer may not recongize it. The best way is to call your internet provider and have them help you further.
I had to go through that as well, and it ended up needed the internet service company to come out and help me.

If it's the same for any website and rebooting your router doesn't work then it's almost certainly your ISP. Even the best of them suffer hardware problems, denial of service attacks or problems when upgrading software. Find something else to do for a couple of hours; read a book, go for a walk or watch TV: the choice is endless.

U seem to have an undocumented virus as of tooday i faced the same problem. before u start just create a restore point from
start>>all programs>>accessories>.system tool>sytem restore
select create a new restore point give a name
once completed press home and
resotre ur computer to an older date freom the home screen of system restore ( u know u clould browse the net) to check if u have the problem i suspect just open yahoo messenger or msnmessenger and try signing in it usually wont connect. then its better to restore ur comp to earlier date it fast easy and no tensions provided u did not install some thing really important and dont have install files for it the try it if it deosent just resore to another time.

Well sometimes it can be a bad connection. But when you have a connection and it happens it could be 2 things one the site you're trying to visit their server could be having problems or the site may not be avalible anymore.Sometimes if you try again at a latter time you will be able to go to the page.Hope this was helpfull and have fun surfing the web.

Go to the toolbar and under "View" , hit "Refresh". If that doesn't work, disconnect your modem and let it rest for around 5 minutes. If you are still having that problem after reconnecting, you need to call your internet support team.
