I have been dating this guy for not very long. The subject came up about holiday gifts. I have a couple of little things for him, no big deal. He wants to know what I want, and I have no idea what to tell him. I don't want him to go out of his way or spend too much money. And the truth is, we don't know each other extremely well. But he keeps asking and I can't think of anything. I'm about 2 seconds away from declaring no gifts. Does anybody have a suggestion?

Do you like candles? Tell him to get you a Yankee Candle. They're great. Or, how about a pretty Christmas ornament?

Either gift can be enjoyed if you go your separate ways and they're not too personal

Perfume? A pair of tickets to some event that you 2 could enjoy? A nice dinner out somewhere?

You can make an Amazon.com wishlist. You can add anything from the site to it, and give him the link. That way, you can have everything from pricey jewelry to books to household items, and he can choose. You'll still be surprised, but you don't have to suggest something specific.

Ask for a t-shirt or something he thinks would look good on you. Suggest anything from Wal-Mart if you want to be surprised. =)

Maybe an inexpensive ornament would be enough.
