Ever done something to save something? My dad was a gold miner in Zimbabwe Years ago, unfortunately some of the wild animals would drink the cyanide and die. I decided to build a massive pond (i was about 11) out of concrete in the bush close by to the cyanide tanks. When i had finished building it animals soon came to drink from it, infact so many came that i decided to build a watching hut out of tree logs. Loads and loads of wild animals soon came to drink from my pond in the dry season and I used to love sitting in my tree hut watching them close by. I went back after many years away, the mine is now in ruins with only a few remainants left, but i managed to find my decrepid hide out and dried up pond, now cracked and broken... did i ever know that pond with bring such good memories.

That's really cool! It's great that at such a young age you had compassion for animals. I've never done anything on such a grand scale at that, however when I was about three or four my mom tought me that if I sat very still in the garden that birds would land near by. By the time I was five I got the idea to hold a bowl of sugar water and be very still, humming birds would come and drink from the bowl in my hand! It was a great experiance and I learned a lot about having patience and a lot about birds. Kudos for your wonderful job with the animals! There should be more people like you!
