Yes, my husband and I decide each month what we will give each other for extra spending $. For example to buy frivalous things we don't really need but want LOL. We are not poor but no means rich - we are comfortable and like to set budgets. However, I must say that if one month I want to buy something more or he does, then we do it but we try to stick to our budget.
Right now we are planning on going to Mexico in 2 years for our 10th Annivesary and then in 4 years to Disneyland so we like to put $ away each month for that.

good question by the way.........

My wife and I combine our income and we get cash out after each pay day for whatever reasons and split it between us as an allowance, our rule of thumb has always been you can buy anything you want up to &50, anything over communicate first-cause that way a huge chunk doesn't just dissapear-when its time to pay the bills.

Fair???? There no fair in the world.. I'm 20 year old gals, 50% of my earning go to my parents. I done my house work, cooking and everthing..even i have 2 helpless brother...
When i was study, all the cost was bare by my self alone.
Never have any allowance or money without doing things.
So whenever you got extra money, you should thanks to the God...
