Windows update for Outlook patch doesn't install and I keep getting the notification to download the patch each time the attempted download stops. How do I let update know that I don't want to update this patch? It's critical, so just checking the options to choose what to install does not work. I never use Outlook and so would like to get rid of this annoyance.
Thanks.

When you go to Windows Update (or Microsoft Update for that matter), select custom for your updates, expand (hit the + sign) and at the bottom of the description is has a check box for "don't remind me again" BUT

Outlook has some big security problems that these patches are made to fix. If you are not using Outlook or Outlook Express, remove them from your system so that they cannot be used against you.
