Many people in Hollywood and the media are hypocritical tarts. Rosie falls squarely into that category. They tend to preach about their own causes in a "holier-than-thou" fashion...only to show their true colors when it comes to issues they are not passionate about.
However, the thin skin of most Americans is ridiculous. There are far more problems in the world of greater interest and need than the impact of Rosie going "ching-chong" on The View.

Richards had no excuse. You cannot compare what he said to what Rosie said. Don't get me wrong. I find Rosie annoying too, but what she said was simply childish and misguided.
What Richards said was seething with hatred and it went on and on and on. It exposed him for the hateful, sad little man he really is. He is a talentless hack who would have gone nowhere without riding lame, overrated Seinfeld's coattails. Now that the ride is over he is bitter and disappointed because he's forced to confront the fact that he has no talent other than acting like Kramer and reminding people of the stupid, overrated show they love oh so much.
That said, the idiots who were heckling him should have been thrown out on their heads long before it every got to the point it did. The whole situation sucked really.

I think people need to get a grip. Rosie was making a light joke. Where is the law which says we can't make jokes? yes, I understand totally that some people were insulted. If you're insulted, stop watching.
This world full of PC Sh*t is getting overwhelming. it's time to realize that comics make jokes, people laugh and let's move on. She did not do it to DEMEAN anyone, nor did she do it because she hated any particular people. She did it as a JOKE a light joke. Let's all take a deep breath and move on with life.
And for the record, DRUNK or HECKLED is still no reason for either of those other two!!

I don't like Rosie. To me she jumps on anything to defend? the gay lifestyle. She is not Ellen, who I think everyone accepts. Rosie is just too pushy. I didn't like Rosie even before I knew she was gay, and I've always liked Ellen.

The only reason she doesn't get in trouble is because no one cares what she says. She is mostly ignored by the public.
