I agree with you. Some people voted for him just because of their religious views like anti abortion anti gay etc. I think its hypocritical to be anti abortion because it "kills a human" but yet he is sending so many young people to die in a needless war. Also I think there was a lot of cheating when it came to the election process.

The same reason that there are still, unbelievably, people that think Blair is a good leader. I do think that he is intelligent but he is a poodle to Bush. When and if Brown takes over the Labour leadership I don't think that he will be the same with Bush as Blair has been. We will be bled dry with more taxes and more restrictions on our lives. Sorry it just got be started. Have a happy Christmas.

Seriously, you think you would win any test of intelligence against him? Just because he talks like a baboon and he rid the coattails of his daddy much of his life, it doubt anyone could get through the education he has and his life experiences without actually knowing a little. As far as a leader...I agree, he's just okay. He did a great job after 9/11, but then he sort of let his pride get in the way and stubbornly acted according to his own beliefs and judgments.

Some very clever people (Not 1st year students I may add) actually believe that intelligence is expressed in tribal killing and will be given air time to expound this. This phrase was pulled from a programme called the 4 Apes on the BBC March 28th 2006
"We shouldn't be disgusted by the way our ancestors behave in their natural environment. There may be a link between intelligence and killing."
Well, if you believe you're an ape than you'll act like one. The killing machine that America has unleashed yet again would fit this 'intelligence' theory perfectly.

LOL... are you kidding me? What Americans think Bush is capable? I don't know who you've been talking to. The vast majority of the country hates him and wants to send him packing back to Texas where he came from. The last popularity poll that they did on him was so low...

For me personally. I am doing well financially, and I saw Americans jumping from a building in downtown Manhattan so they wouldn't be burned. Bush may not be the smartest president to grace the oval office but how hard is it for you to understand we have not had another attack on American soil since. He took the fight to them, every life that is lost in the middle east is a life that was sacrificed so we can sustain our way of life (our freedom), and their sacrifices will never be forgotten by people like me. How easy we forget. I will never forget. Soldiers die so you can post your idiot disrespectful question.

Probably for the same reasons that the British have voted in a party led by Tony Blair for several years.

Why are so many Europeans so cynical about their leaders?
Let's be honest. Most of Europe is totally defenseless without the United States. And Europeans are so blind not to notice the fact that their military force is a joke with somebody else picking up the defense tab (i.e., U.S.).

Even OLD money can buy a good PR team.
And who can believe that a group of grown-up people could lie so outrageously and openly?
