believe me, pretty hard answering from a distance
flaws only surface after a couple of days of using

configuration seems pretty decent
check batteries last at least 45 minutes of use

lastly, trust factor > repair shop should be known to you to be trustworthy
eg. cracked hinges means the repair shop's gonna accept return
& other minor flaws he will correct, should they appear

check-out these angles with the repair shop
# bear in mind, notebook repairs are pretty expensive
& buying second hand notebooks is quite dicey in itself

Its a sturdy value, yet upload contained in the price of a sparkling battery into the price. Li Ion batteries have a time reduce that begins from production, and with used laptops there isn't any assure you'll be able to discover yet another %.. Use the formula that less than accountable use, the battery is going to completely free 5% to ten% of its skill each and every twelve months. Irresponsible use, it ought to already be shot. If the computer and a sparkling battery %. are nevertheless properly less than the price of a sparkling one, flow for it. that is a large value for a operating laptop or computer.

If it is a fresh install, it is ok. I would make sure it has some type of warranty from the shop. At least 90 days.

You can find laptops under $400 at tiger direct, but not top of the line models. Here are the specials from tiger: http://www.24houredeals.com/tigerdirect-coupons-75-mer.html

Good Luck.

$200 seems a little fishy to me. Make sure it works, test it out. Make sure you are actually getting what they advertise. If you don't know much about computers, bring someone who does. Especially since it's a present, giving someone crap would be quite embarrassing. Computer repairers are like auto mechanics, they can smell someone who has no clue about comps a mile away, and will take advantage of it.
