I got my bonus yesterday as a check. In the past we've got gift cards. Getting a check taxes were taken out so I didn't get the full amount as if I would if it would have been a gift card.

Oh yes we get bonus checks - and of course they take taxes out of it. I think they should up it so that when taxes are out, we get the full allotted amount.

Last year I got a Check, but this year I'm still don't know what I'll be getting, maybe the same, a Check. We are having a Christmas Party on Thursday we mind getting something on that day.

Generally when they do that they compensate by making the check a little higher so that when taxes come out you still get the amount they want you to have. A lot of people don't get anything at all, so it seems petty to me to worry that you didn't get enough.

There's a pile of gifts under the department tree and I see my name on several. Already had a gift certificate mailed to me...yes yes we are lucky and no their not hiring right now sorry.

I'm hoping for both...Everyone usually gets a gift card and some people also get bonuses but we're not supposed to tell anyone else in case they didn't get one.
Hmm...hopefully my tardiness won't keep me from getting one!

Dragon has gotten checks the past few yeers, but she isn't sure there will be any bonuses fer anyone this yer cuz her boss is turning into an even bigger cheepskate than evar.

I work for the state. I'm lucky to get christmas day off. We don't get anything else. The whole thing about state employees and all the benefits they get is bollocks. My office had to pitch in to buy our own microwave.

Im a stay at home mom and my hubby gives me extra cash for Christmas besides what he gives me weekly. Its nice only if I get to spend some on myself once in a while.
